VALERIE BERTINELLI STILL HAS IT

VALERIE BERTINELLI (born on April 23, 1960 in Delaware) is an actress best known for her role as Bonnie Franklin's younger daughter, Barbara Cooper, on the long-running television show One Day at a Time.

VALERIE BERTINELLI SHOWS US SHE STILL HAS IT AT 48 - VALERIE BERTINELLI PEOPLE MAGAZINE BIKINI COVER

In later years, VALERIE BERTINELLI had two short-lived television series: Sydney in which a young Matthew Perry played her brother, and Cafe Américain. Valerie VALERIE BERTINELLI has also appeared in a number of made-for-television movies and, in 2001, joined the cast of Touched by an Angel.

VALERIE BERTINELLI was born to American parents Nancy and Andy Bertinelli (a General Motors executive). She had an older brother, Mark, who died at 17 months from an accidental poisoning before Valerie was born. Along with her other three brothers, one older and two younger, the family lived in Claymont, Delaware and Clarkston, Michigan before moving to Van Nuys, California, where Bertinelli studied acting at the Tami Lynn School of Artists. She attended Granada Hills High School until 1978 but did not graduate. As of January 2008, she was pursuing the last few credits needed for her high school diploma. She was raised Catholic.

VALERIE BERTINELLI married Eddie Van Halen in April 1981; they had a son, Wolfgang "Wolfie" William Van Halen, ten years later. On July 9, 2002, they announced that they had been separated since October 2001. VALERIE BERTINELLI filed for divorce on December 5, 2005. VALERIE BERTINELLI was the host of Saturday Night Live (with then-husband Eddie Van Halen sitting in with G.E. Smith and the Saturday Night Live Band) when Dana Carvey intruduced his "Choppin' Broccoli" sketch.

Following her guest-star role on Apple's Way, VALERIE BERTINELLI was approached by producer Norman Lear to audition for the role of a cooperative daughter, Barbara Cooper Ramano, in a new sitcom called One Day at a Time. The show debuted in late 1975. For the show's first season, VALERIE BERTINELLI was 15, and her character was written as a tomboy. The following year, in addition to the show having a full season, VALERIE BERTINELLI's character was revised to become more likable to a traditional male demographic.

During the show's third season, Mackenzie Phillips, who played VALERIE BERTINELLI's sister, began to have drug problems, and was later arrested. Partly as a result of this, VALERIE BERTINELLI and Phillips didn't speak for several years, except when in character.

During the show's eighth season, both VALERIE BERTINELLI's and lead Bonnie Franklin's characters married male characters.

VALERIE BERTINELLI appeared in all but two episodes of One Day at a Time, and remained on the show until it was canceled in 1984. At one point, she and Franklin were involved in plans for a spin-off series, but it was never produced.

Two decades later in 2005, during the One Day at a Time Reunion Special, VALERIE BERTINELLI was reunited with Phillips, Franklin, and Pat Harrington Jr. to watch memorable clips from the original show's nine seasons. They talked about actors who had left the show, as well as about Phillips' drug problem, which had wreaked havoc on the set.

After One Day at a Time, VALERIE BERTINELLI went on became a prolific actress. She starred in one short-lived TV series, Sydney. In 2001, VALERIE BERTINELLI joined the cast of Touched By An Angel opposite Roma Downey and Della Reese for the show's last two seasons.

VALERIE BERTINELLI, who had slowly gained weight over the years, had lost a total of 40 lb (18 kg) as of January 2008, and had become a spokesperson for the Jenny Craig weight-loss program. VALERIE BERTINELLI could be seen in Jenny Craig commercials along with Kirstie Alley and other celebrity Jenny Craig participants.

Celebrities who promote such things as weight-loss programs are often perceived to be in professional decline. However, although VALERIE BERTINELLI is compensated for her Jenny Craig appearances, she has stated that she considers herself a health and weight-loss activist rather than a hired weight-loss spokesperson, and that she continues to receive proposals for more conventional acting work. VALERIE BERTINELLI is currently promoting her new autobiography, Losing It—And Gaining My Life Back One Pound At A Time, which culminates in a description of her Jenny Craig experience. (The book's title contains a wordplay on One Day at a Time.)

Before marriage, VALERIE BERTINELLI dated Steven Spielberg and Scott Colomby.

VALERIE BERTINELLI married Eddie Van Halen on April 11, 1981. They had a son, Wolfgang "Wolfie" William Van Halen, on March 16, 1991. On July 9, 2002, they announced that they had been separated since October 2001. She filed for divorce on December 5, 2005 which was finalized on December 20, 2007.

In a candid interview on February 25, 2008 with Oprah Winfrey, VALERIE BERTINELLI revealed that she and ex-husband Eddie both cheated. VALERIE BERTINELLI says, "I cheated. He claims to this day that I cheated first, but I don't know. I don't know about the timing." VALERIE BERTINELLI has also spoken out about a lusty "lesbian moment" when she kissed another woman.

VALERIE BERTINELLI has been in a relationship with financial planner Tom Vitale since 2004.

VALERIE BERTINELLI remains close to her former One Day at a Time co-star, Glenn Scarpelli.

VALERIE BERTINELLI also has a nephew in a rock Group, Joseph Vincent

DANICA MCKELLAR played Gwendolyn "Winnie" Cooper, Fred Savage's main love interest on the show. In an episode entitled "The Accident" and in the final episode, it is stated that every important event in Kevin's life somehow involved Winnie. DANICA MCKELLAR lives on the same block as Kevin. Their first kiss plays an important part of the pilot episode, as does her older brother's death while serving as a soldier in the Vietnam War. In one episode, her parents decide to get separated because of their grief over the death of their son. According to the epilogue in the final episode, Winnie studies art history in Paris. Kevin and Winnie write one letter to each other every week for eight years until her return. Despite their life-long romance, they never marry.

DANICA MCKELLAR's first kiss was with Fred Savage in an episode of The Wonder Years. DANICA MCKELLAR later said, "My first kiss was a pretty nerve-wracking experience! But we never kissed off screen, and pretty quickly our feelings turned into brother/sister, and stayed that way."

DANICA MCKELLAR has admitted the transition from "child actor to adult actor was a little bumpy." Since leaving The Wonder Years, DANICA MCKELLAR has had several guest roles in television series (including one with former co-star Fred Savage on Working), and has written and directed two short films. DANICA MCKELLAR briefly returned to regular television with a recurring role in the 2002–03 season of The West Wing, portraying Elsie Snuffin, the sister and assistant of Deputy White House Communications Director Will Bailey.

DANICA MCKELLAR appeared in lingerie for a pictorial in the July 2005 edition of Stuff Magazine after readers voted her the '90s star they would most like to see in lingerie. DANICA MCKELLAR explained that she agreed to the shoot in part to obtain "grittier roles".

The book has been favorably reviewed by Tara C. Smith, the founder of Iowa Citizens for Science and a professor of epidemiology at the University of Iowa. In an interview with Smith, DANICA MCKELLAR said that she wrote the book "to show girls that math is accessible and relevant, and even a little glamorous" and to counteract "damaging social messages telling young girls that math and science aren't for them".

JOELY RICHARDSON

JOELY RICHARDSON was born in London to a theatrical family, the daughter of actress Vanessa Redgrave and late director Tony Richardson, the granddaughter of Sir Michael Redgrave and Rachel Kempson, Lady Redgrave, sister of actress Natasha Richardson, and sister-in-law of actor Liam Neeson, and niece of Lynn Redgrave and Corin Redgrave.

JOELY RICHARDSON appeared as an extra at the age of three in the 1968 version of The Charge of the Light Brigade directed by her father.

British actress JOELY RICHARDSON is the daughter of actress Vanessa Redgrave and director Tony Richardson, the granddaughter of actors Michael Redgrave and Rachel Kempson, niece of actors Corin and Lynn Redgrave, and sister of actress Natasha Richardson. Thus, it would be fair to say that JOELY RICHARDSON has acting in her genes. JOELY RICHARDSON's film credits range from Peter Greenaway's arthouse favorite Drowning By Numbers (1988) -- in which she is one of three murderesses, all named Cissy Colpitts -- to the abortive musical I'll Do Anything (1993) to the winning 1996 remake of 101 Dalmatians.

JOELY RICHARDSON has repeatedly demonstrated a capacity for tackling difficult subjects, as was the case with Sister My Sister (1994), which cast JOELY RICHARDSON as a maid caught up in an incestuous lesbian love affair with her sister, and Hollow Reed (1996), in which JOELY RICHARDSON played the divorced mother of a young boy who is abused by her live-in boyfriend. In 2000, JOELY RICHARDSON was seen in a number of projects, including the romantic comedy Return to Me and the revolutionary war drama The Patriot. In 2003, JOELY RICHARDSON landed a starring role as Dr. Sean McNamera's (Dylan Walsh) frustrated wife on F/X's popular nighttime drama, Nip/Tuck.

For JOELY RICHARDSON the theater must be in her genes. Daughter of Tony Richardson and Vanessa Redgrave, and granddaughter of actor Sir Michael Redgrave, she is the niece of Lynn Redgrave and her sister Natasha Richardson is also an actress. JOELY RICHARDSON's former husband Tim Bevan is a producer. However the genes were slow - as a child JOELY RICHARDSON saw her older sister Natasha interested in acting but she was imagining a career in tennis. Her father put his foot down, and tennis was out. British by birth, JOELY RICHARDSON considers herself a sort of honorary Yank, having attended boarding school at Thacher in Ojai, California. Beginning in the 80s film became her life, from small parts in Wetherby (1985) to BBC dramas such as Lady Chatterley (1993) (TV) to today's Disney studio going to the dogs in 101 Dalmatians (1996).

JOELY RICHARDSON had an early ambition to become a professional tennis player and spent two years at a tennis academy in Florida.

JOELY RICHARDSON then turned to acting. In 1985 she portrayed, via flashbacks, the younger version of the leading character played by her mother in the film Wetherby. After a leading role in Peter Greenaway's cult success Drowning by Numbers,

JOELY RICHARDSON's first major role in front of a mass audience was as Joanna Farley in a 1989 television episode of Poirot, the Agatha Christie-based detective series.

JOELY RICHARDSON later appeared in an anomalously amusing portrayal of a fictional Finnish princess, Anna, in the 1991 comedy King Ralph.

A year later,

JOELY RICHARDSON appeared in Shining Through alongside her future brother-in-law Liam Neeson, where both played characters depicted as Nazis.

In 1993,

JOELY RICHARDSON appeared as Lady Chatterley in a television drama of the same title, opposite Sean Bean.

In 1996,

JOELY RICHARDSON played the fashion designer Anita in the popular Disney film 101 Dalmatians opposite Glenn Close as Cruella de Vil. In 1998, in the popular television drama The Echo,

JOELY RICHARDSON played sultry Amanda Powell. The next year, she played in the sci-fi/horror movie Event Horizon as Lieutenant Starck, executive officer of the research and rescue ship Lewis & Clark, sent to rescue crew of the long-thought-lost experimental ship Event Horizon.

One year later,

JOELY RICHARDSON played opposite Mel Gibson in the successful film The Patriot, an American fiction based on the American Revolution. Later that year

JOELY RICHARDSON was modelling a necklace, when director Charles Shyer noticed her resemblance to doomed 18th-century French Queen Marie Antoinette. Thus,

JOELY RICHARDSON secured the role of that queen in the 2001 film The Affair of the Necklace. Also in 2000, she played opposite Hugh Laurie in Maybe Baby, Ben Elton's movie adaptation of his book Inconceivable.

In 2003,

JOELY RICHARDSON took on the major role of playing Julia McNamara in the controversial television drama Nip/Tuck, based on the lives of two dysfunctional plastic surgeons in Miami.

JOELY RICHARDSON's mother, Vanessa Redgrave, has appeared in several episodes, playing her character's mother.

In 2005,

JOELY RICHARDSON starred in Lies My Mother Told Me, based on a true story about a murderous con artist. In 2007

JOELY RICHARDSON played the mother in "The Last Mimzy" with Timothy Hutton, Chris O'Neil and Rhiannon Leigh Wryn.
