Heidi Lenhart Pictures and Bio

Heidi Noelle Lenhart was born in Los Angeles, Ca, on August 22, 1973. She had a typical childhood and was "a total ham as a kid", to quote Heidi Lenhart herself, but ironically she decided against an acting career her senior year of high school. Lenhart then took a college psychology course and started to pursue the only other career she had considered doing, being a counselor to young children.

During this time Heidi Lenhart auditioned a for a few things, but it seemed like acting was far from being in her future. However, on alark, Heidi Lenhart auditioned for and got the part of Jennifer ("Jenny") Garrison on the teen NBC sitcom "California Dreams" (1992-1996). Her role lasted for only one season, but Heidi Lenhart seized the opportunity to go to Paris for six months and study with an American acting coach. It was there she also contemplated continuing with her secondary career or go into acting full time. She chose the latter. "I looked in the mirror and decided to go for it."

At this time, she was still only 19 when she returned to the United States, got a new agent, and took on numerous roles in television and small independent films simply for the experience. Some of her credits include: "The Burning Zone" (UPN); "Night Stand with Dick Slater" (UPN); "Maybe This Time" (ABC/Disney); "Deadly Game" (CBS made for TV film); "Born Bad"; "Red Meat"; and "The Sisterhood".

Late 1996 brought about a grueling three-month audition period for Heidi Lenhart's current series "Fame L.A." When Heidi Lenhart read the script she thought it just the challenge she was looking for: " [The character of Suzanne Carson] gave me a rush because this was what I was looking for - - acting and singing in the same role." Heidi showed what years of hard work can do when in the final audition, given only a few minutes to memorize over two pages of dialogue, when she nailed it. "I worked really hard for this role. This is a big break for me."
