
Areas of Practice
Ms. Gitsham is in an associate in the Washington, D.C. office, focusing on litigation and public policy. Prior to joining the firm, she held various positions within the Bush Administration at the White House and the U.S. Department of Justice, and also worked on Capitol Hill. Within the administration, Ms. Gitsham served as an associate director in the Office of Intergovernmental and Public Liaison under Attorneys General John Ashcroft and Alberto Gonzales. She also represented the Department of Justice in an intergovernmental agency task force on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, and served as President Bush's Hispanic Coalitions Coordinator during the 2000 presidential election, through which she established strong ties with Hispanic and Asian leaders nationwide.
During law school, Ms. Gitsham clerked for the Senate Judiciary Committee, as a member of Senator Arlen Specter's (R-PA) judicial nominations unit during the confirmation hearing of Chief Justice John Roberts. Ms. Gitsham has worked in Beijing and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
